London Zoo

This project offered RDA the opportunity to work on a design-only brief for the iconic London Zoo. The brief was to reimagine the main restaurant and mezzanine restaurant alongside a handful of satellite outlets and kiosks. Inspiration for the look and feel in the two restaurant spaces was taken from the conservation work the Zoo undertake, and their work in sustainability. Muted earthy tones and environmentally friendly finishes are complemented by lots of planting. Colours and materials in the satellite outlets such as the Beach Hut are playful, colourful and whimsical. The result, a collection of thoughtfully designed spaces that speak to the varied visitors found at the Zoo.
