RDA were commissioned by MMU to completely redesign three food and beverage outlets at the University’s Business School and School of Art. We experienced our most challenging procurement period in our history during this project, post Covid, but we managed to achieve sign-off on schedule and to client requirements. This was thanks to excellent communication with our suppliers and subcontractors. The vast majority went above and beyond, as did our operations team on site. The result, students of the Business School can now enjoy a street food offering with diverse and international options reminiscent of London’s Borough Market. The Hub Café is now a warm and inviting space with a soft and muted colour palette. And in the School of Art, there is a new café with a monochromatic and understated aesthetic to double up as a backdrop for student artwork and exhibitions.
